Orange Creamsicle Latte

This latte is smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced with espresso and citrus.

If you’re a fan of the nostalgic, creamy-sweet taste of an orange creamsicle, this 🍊 Orange Creamsicle Latte is a must-try! It blends bright citrus, smooth vanilla, and bold espresso for a perfectly balanced sip. The secret? A homemade orange oleo saccharum—a citrus-infused sugar syrup that brings out the freshest orange flavor.

This drink is topped with orange cold foam for an extra punch of orange goodness —just like your favorite childhood treat, but with a caffeinated twist!

Homemade Orange-Vanilla Oleo Saccharum

This syrup adds a rich citrus flavor to the latte. The best part? This oleo saccharum is incredibly easy to customize—just mix equal parts orange peel and sugar, so you can make exactly the amount you need!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz orange peel (weighed, from Cara Cara or other sweet oranges)

  • 1 oz white sugar

  • 1 oz dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Peel the oranges and mix with the sugar, and vanilla extract in a sealable container until the peels are fully coated with sugar.

  2. Seal and let sit at room temperature for 8–12 hours to extract the citrus oils into the sugar.

  3. Strain and store the syrup in the fridge.

🍊 Pro Tips:

  • If you notice some sugar still hasn’t dissolved after 8-12 hours, just add ½ oz of warm to hot water to gently rinse the peels and help melt the remaining sugar.

  • Save the used peels! Lay them on a baking sheet and dry them in a low oven (170°F / 75°C) for a few hours. Use them for tea or garnish.
